So glad to have stumbled upon The Raven! I'm still reading this piece. Just wanted to say mid-read that it reminds me a lot of Gabriel Rockhill's telling of the tale of American history here. https://www.counterpunch.org/2017/12/13/the-u-s-is-not-a-democracy-it-never-was/ It's complementary reading.

I'm a left decentralist with overpowering suspicions that "the state" has always been a machine built for accumulating power (political and economic) "centripetally" (toward the vacuuming machinery atop hierarchical structures arranged like pyramids). I prefer to actively distribute power centrifugally, and don't believe we must ask the state for permission to do so. I write about this at The R-Word - https://rword.substack.com/

The necessary political revolution (non-violent, non-insurrectionary) would seem to me to be one in which we don't presume we can alter our course at the voting booth, or through "normal politics" (the state apparatus). But a violent revolution would be a bloody mess and would fail. And violence is ugly and stupid. So I'm inviting folks to imagine with me another way of unfolding revolution.

Outstanding essay/proposal, which I came across at Counterpunch.org and came here to see if there might be any comments celebrating it (it seems mine'll be the first)! May I say that I think the rigorous application of minds and hearts toward your vision as described in this essay would only be enhanced with inspiration from: (1) Thomas Klikauer's culminating (highest) Stage of Management Morality, namely the Management Morality of Environmentalism (described in his book:

https://books.google.com/books/about/Seven_Management_Moralities.html?id=oMBhsS19JiMC ) ;

and (2) a book I've been working on which describes the science, "spirituality", and logic of a secular method described therein, for learning the self- and other-COMPASSION (memorialised by Jesus' "Love thy neighbor as thyself" but by no means exclusive to that spirituality thread) that can be used voluntarily by greed-gripped[:by definition, "unhappy", though their wealth often distracts them from realising this] individuals to heal of the underlying deformities in them that lead not only to greed and its consequent global extreme wealth/income inequality as well as to much of what drives Anthropogenic Global Warming/Heating, but also to racism, bullying, and narcissism-based lying such as we've seen, e.g., in "the Former Guy" in the greatest of abundance.

Sadly, my groundbreaking book is only half-finished because I have been forced into sleeping sitting up in a VERTICAL position on the front seat of my car for the past 3 years due to perpetually running up against landlords' "one-third rule" that one can't rent from them unless the rent is no more than a third of one's income. Despite a sterling personal background that contains Zero eviction, bankruptcy, foreclosure or any other drawback (i.e., no criminal, mental illness, substance abuse, or other detriment) and an excellent credit score and personal references, I am automatically disqualified by landlord after landlord this past 3 years of sleeping sitting up on the front seat of my car, simply because I receive only some $1K/month SocSec for a physiological disability resulting from undue damage to my detoxification ability which was damaged working in a chemical laboratory; citing their rule, rent on any place I wanted to apply for, would have to be some $333/mo, which of course nobody offers.

So despite being able to pay as much as $600/month rent (and have found a few at that level or slightly below) I've been unable to get housing for all this time; resultingly, my brain function has become damaged to a point of being unable to finish my book at the level it needs (for credibility, with science journal and other documentation) to be written, because it is necessary for the body to be in a HORIZONTAL position during sleep in order that glymphatic circulation be enabled to properly clear neurotoxic brain waste products including Alzheimer's-causing beta amyloids from the brain--without such proper clearance, these beta amyloids accumulate, harmfully[https://www.mdedge.com/neurology/article/114150/alzheimers-cognition/glymphatic-system-may-play-key-role-removing-brain] and I have definitely seen my brain functionality go WAAAY down.

If anyone reading this thinks a PhiBetaKappa woman in her mid-60s who has been "activating" my whole entier adult life toward global and individual human health ecological protections and finally realized it's a perpetual uphill battle unless we heal greed and discovered that there IS a way to do that, and can describe the logic, science, and "spirituality"* of that, and who only needs a smoke-, mold-, and fragrance-free room with a bed in which to sleep lying down and a desk and chair at which to write(and kitchen/bathroom privileges), can offer such a room @$600/mo or less so she has the opportunity to finish writing what could help heal the world but which can NOT be finished while I'm stuck sleeping sitting up on the front seat of my car, please write to me at greenfocusheart at outlook dot com .

I trust that you , Mr or Dr Mazza, in recognizing the goodfaith person I am through what I am trying to

achieve (and keeping in mind, please, that for half of my life due to my disability I have had to move and move and move to try to get away from secondhand smoke pouring into almost every place I have tried to live from smoking neighbors through cracks and spaces in electrical outlets, moldings, ducts, etc, because they refuse to go outside to smoke -- smoke chemicals which because of my detoxification disability immediately produce pain in my chest, back, and throughout my body and further medically compromise my health -- so I've spent half my life trying to squeeze in a little writing here and there in between and betwixt smoking addicts lighting up yet another one, 24/7 and therefore unable to get done a book that I am convinced the world needs AND that my science/"spirituality"/non-violent activist background uniquely qualifies me to be able to write) will not feel I am trying to "hijack" your comments section, just trying in yet another forum (that I hope, unlike all others in which I've appealed to "idealists'" with whom I share values of wanting to preserve our beautiful Earth from undue harm, will have someone who reads and considers my plea with the compassion that we'd hope ALL humans could embody), to have the help to have a clean-air place to live, where I could actualise, first this book, and then its promotion (and the promotion of the method it describes).

Thank you for your time and consideration, anyone who is reading this, and great appreciation to Patrick Mazza for your wonderful work. -"Greenie"

* "spirituality" is in quote marks for a couple of reasons, but one hinges on why it is that Rudolf Steiner, founder of Waldorf schools and author of landmark book Agriculture describing biodynamic farming and gardening principles, stated: "...material is spiritual and spiritual is material". If you're wondering why that was, please help me have a clean-air place to live so I can write the book in which this, and so much more, would be discussed!
