Aaron Bushnell reportedly told a friend US special forces are already operating with the IDF trying to clear the tunnels. Part of why he killed himself. This would be a way to support operations under a humanitarian cover. And to look like they’re doing something for the Palestinians to shore up Biden’s voting base, which is eroding due to humanitarian crisis.
