"The collapse of support for Israel among younger generations, including young Jews, is visibly evident on the streets."

Not only. I am an elder Jew and detest what Israel is. I am explicitly anti-Zionist (and am abused for it). I am not alone in my status.

"Israel, much as a troubled relative that refuses to address life-threatening problems, requires a radical intervention from without. | And that means by Israel’s prime supporter, the United States."

I agree. Unfortunately, the U.S. is not in a position to take on this role. The Democrats appear to be incapable of getting out from under the AIPAC thumb. And if the MAGA fascists win the White House, the odds of anything positive coming out of the U.S. becomes vanishingly small. Scary in fact.

Yes, Jews of all ages, for sure. I know there are small odds that anything like the shift in US politics could take place that would spur such an intervention. But it’s the only potential crack of daylight I see.

Very well done. How can we keep pretending militarism is anything but a literal dead end?

Just wondering, did the Saudi's say they would no longer pursue an agreement? I hadn't heard that specifically, though it is not at all surprising.

At least we know any movement toward normalization is indefinitely suspended. Hard to see it resuming under the current circumstances.

Indeed. Hardly the top priority for anyone in this horror.
